The Role

We are seeking local Warehouse Workers for Interlink Court, Paget branch, to provide warehouse and distribution service to both internal and external customers. This a full-time position Monday to Friday (8:00am to 4:06pm).

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will aid in the day-to-day operations and activities in the Warehouse. The successful candidate must be able to work in a team environment with routine supervision and be able to understand detailed instructions.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Liaising with management, suppliers and customers with respect to stores’ operations.

  • Weighing or shipping or receiving or delivery officer incorporating also dispatcher functions;

  • Receiving, receipting, pick, pack and dispatch of spare parts and materials

  • Conduct project work;

  • Assist with inventory control;

  • Prepare shipping documentation;

  • Enter detailed data entry in Sandvik IT systems

  • Undertake discrepancy investigation and implement corrective actions

  • Conduct stock cycle counting and full stock takes;

  • Implement quality control techniques and procedures.

  • General warehouse maintenance and housekeeping.

Your profile

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ warehouse/stores experience in a Heavy Mining or Equipment Manufacturing environment, and a current Forklift license is preferable.

  • You will be comfortable with new systems and processes and adaptable to learning environments.

  • You are computer literate in the Microsoft Office applications and comfortable with implementing and driving OH&S policies and procedures.

  • You will have drive, flexibility, high level of energy and enthusiasm, display excellent communication and customer relations skills.

  • Additionally, you are able to collaborate and work with members of the wider team. You are experienced with flexible shift work and rosters.
