Our client, Andrews & Rech Pty Ltd, a long-established precision engineering and manufacturing company, is seeking skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinists / Metal Machinists to join its production team. The successful candidates will be responsible for operating, programming, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce high-quality metal components while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, program, and operate CNC machines according to engineering drawings and job specifications.
- Operate a range of CNC machines including Okuma and Mori Seiki machining centres and CNC lathes.
- Monitor machine operations and adjust tooling, feed rates, and speeds for efficient production.
- Conduct quality checks using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, callipers, and gauges to ensure parts meet required tolerances.
- Perform routine machine maintenance including cleaning, lubrication, and tool replacement.
- Load and unload materials and maintain efficient production workflow.
- Polish, deburr, and finish machined parts to meet required quality standards.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets while maintaining a safe work environment.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience as a CNC Machinist or Metal Machinist.
- Relevant trade qualification or equivalent.
- Experience operating CNC machines
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and workplace safety.
