Our client, Andrews & Rech Pty Ltd, a long-established precision engineering and manufacturing company, is seeking skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinists / Metal Machinists to join its production team. The successful candidates will be responsible for operating, programming, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce high-quality metal components while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Set up, program, and operate CNC machines according to engineering drawings and job specifications.
  2. Operate a range of CNC machines including Okuma and Mori Seiki machining centres and CNC lathes.
  3. Monitor machine operations and adjust tooling, feed rates, and speeds for efficient production.
  4. Conduct quality checks using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, callipers, and gauges to ensure parts meet required tolerances.
  5. Perform routine machine maintenance including cleaning, lubrication, and tool replacement.
  6. Load and unload materials and maintain efficient production workflow.
  7. Polish, deburr, and finish machined parts to meet required quality standards.
  8. Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets while maintaining a safe work environment.

Requirements:

  1. At least 3 years of relevant work experience as a CNC Machinist or Metal Machinist.
  2. Relevant trade qualification or equivalent.
  3. Experience operating CNC machines
  4. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  5. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and workplace safety.
